"Persistence of vision"

"Persistence of vision" Refers to phenomenon of the eye where the retina retains an image for a brief spilt second after the image was seen, and lends it self to animation by fostering the illusion of movie when we view images in closes timed sequence to one another, While this happens we do not notice the skip.

There is many devices which use this phenomenon to great effect these devices are Zoetrope, Kinetoscope, mutoscope and thaumoscope and Phenakistoscope i am going to do research on Phenakistoscope



Phenakistoscope comprises of a spinning disk such as this as you can see on the disk there is a couple dancing and each different picture is different by a fraction to make it into a moving image just like the picture underneath the wheel as you can see the image starts to move
